What causes Acne?
The primary cause of acne is excessive sebum production. Excess sebum can oxidize, which has two consequenes. First, it becomes irritating, provoking hyperkeratinization. Pores become blocked, and open comedones (blackheads) and closed comedones (whiteheads) appear. This environment promotes the proliferation of P. acnes bacteria, which causes inflammation. Pimples appear.
To treat acne, it is important to deal with the four biological causes of acne pathogenesis: excessive sebum, blocked pores, bacteria proliferation and inflamation.
